Every feature, explained

From toss to trophy,
it's all in the app.

Here's what Gully Cricket Scorer does — and exactly how you use it — from setting up a match to sharing the final scorecard.

Live scoring

Score every ball like a pro scorer

A big, thumb-friendly run pad records every delivery — runs, wides, no-balls, byes, and all 13 ways a batter can get out. Get something wrong? Undo replays the innings back one ball, perfectly, every time.

Undo / redo any ball Free-hit tracking Strike rotation, automatic Voice commentary (TTS) 50 / 100 celebrations Over timer

How you use it

  1. Tap Start Scoring from the home screen — you're in a match in seconds.
  2. After each delivery, tap the run scored (0–6), or Wide, No-ball, Bye, or OUT.
  3. At the end of each over, the app prompts you to pick the next bowler — and enforces bowling limits for you.
  4. Mis-tapped? Hit Undo. The whole innings state rolls back one ball — score, striker, bowler figures, everything.

Match setup

Your ground, your rules

Gully cricket doesn't follow the ICC rulebook, so the app doesn't force you to. Pick a preset — T20, ODI, Gully, Junior, Women's — or go fully custom: overs per innings, bowler quotas, wide and no-ball penalties, powerplays, even uneven squad sizes like 9-a-side vs 11.

6 rule presets + custom Last Man Standing Uneven squads (e.g. 9 vs 11) Bowler-specific over quotas 2-run wides for local leagues

How you use it

  1. On the match setup screen, pick a Rule Profile — "Gully" is the casual default (no free hit, no powerplay).
  2. Tweak anything under Customize Individual Rules — the profile flips to "Custom" automatically.
  3. Set each team's Squad Size — sides don't have to match.
  4. Turn on Last Man Standing if your ground plays it — the final batter bats on alone, keeping strike.
  5. A Confirm Match Rules summary shows everything before the first ball.

Offline first

No signal? No problem.

Grounds rarely come with good 4G. Scoring works fully offline — and if the scorer has to leave mid-match, the innings can jump to another phone three different ways, no internet required.

Score fully offline QR handoff WhatsApp / SMS transfer Auto-sync when back online

How you use it

  1. Same network? Use the online QR transfer for a live handoff.
  2. No connection, phones side by side? Offline QR — the next scorer scans your screen and picks up with the last two overs of detail.
  3. Next scorer isn't nearby? Send the full ball-by-ball history as a message via WhatsApp or SMS — they paste it in and continue.
  4. When any phone gets signal again, the match syncs to the cloud automatically.

Teams & identity

Your squad, saved once, used forever

Every player gets a permanent CricID, so stats and identity follow them across matches and teams. Build reusable squads with captains, roles, and batting order; import teammates straight from your contacts; and share full team sheets with other organisers.

How you use it

  1. In Friends, tap Import contacts — anyone already on the app links automatically by phone number.
  2. In My Teams, create a squad: name players, assign captain and vice-captain, set roles (🏏 🎯 ⚡ 🧤), drag to reorder the batting.
  3. Add players by name, from contacts, or by their @CricketID.
  4. Tap Share to send the team sheet to another organiser — they get it read-only, and you can push updates with Resync.

Full scorecards, built as you play

Every match produces a complete scorecard automatically — batting and bowling figures, fall of wickets, extras, partnerships. Match history lives in the Match Hub, and because players carry a CricID, their record follows them from team to team.
